Sky Bridge Lifts Successful at Concord Adex Condos in Toronto
Plans to hoist a sky bridge spanning two condominium towers in Toronto recently took more than three-and-a-half years of planning. Over the course of thirteen hours on Monday night and Tuesday morning, a 320 tonne bridge was raised to where it now links the two tallest towers at Concord Adex’s Parade condominium complex on Fort York Boulevard in Toronto. Western’s Heavy Lift Division was responsible for the heavy rigging.

A Western operator initiated the computer-controlled strand jacks to lift the sky bridge slowly into place, carefully monitoring the loads on each jack to ensure a level load. The four ground-level cranes also monitored the tension on each cable.
